In Her Own Colorful World: Meet Mindy Stooksbury

At the heart of Find Yourself Style is a woman who believes in the transformative power of color, confidence, and self-expression—meet Mindy Stooksbury, our passionate cofounder.

Mindy’s journey into fashion and personal color analysis stems from a genuine love for helping others feel their best. With a background in accounting and human resources across both public and private sectors, she brings both professionalism and heart to everything she does. But her true joy? Watching people light up the moment they discover their color—that one perfect shade that makes them glow from the inside out.

She’s a firm believer in the connection between what we wear and how we feel. Whether it’s the right lipstick, a cozy sweater in your power color, or even your signature scent, Mindy knows that style is about so much more than appearance. It’s about self-esteem, confidence, and feeling at home in your own skin.

Outside of her work with Find Yourself Style, Mindy is a devoted wife to her husband, Joel, and a proud mom to their daughter, Ava. Their home is full of love—and fur!—thanks to their golden retriever (Kylo) and cat (Uma) who complete the family. Mindy enjoys spending quality time with her crew, and together they love traveling, listening to music, and simply being together.

Bits & Pieces about Mindy: She loves Las Vegas and Malibu, Mexican food, and Mad Priest Coffee. She grew up in East Tennessee, holds 3 college degrees, and 3 certifications! Mindy loves sitting on her back deck looking at the lake enjoying both the view and tranquility that it offers. Her favorite book is Wicked, but she has never seen the Broadway show or the movie. 

Working through the More Alive With Color® program was a pivotal experience for Mindy. Collaborating with her mother, Gaynell, to develop their own custom color analysis approach and palettes was a dream come true. The opportunity to learn directly from Leatrice Eiseman, a leading authority on color, was especially valuable for both of them.
